Daytona

I’ve never been to Daytona, except under night’s lens. The last time we stood on the sand and with my arm around you we watched the fire spinner. I felt so close and we were at ease. Now in our bed, I’m reminded of those dark beach waters. Our dark blue sheets feel like an ocean, dragging you away from me. The sound of the a/c thrumming is the crashing of the waves, drowning out your breath. When we stood there beneath the stars, things felt better. We were close. So why at our beach at home, do you feel so far away?

Sorry folks, just a drabble tonight. Working on outlining a bigger project for the future. Thanks to everyone who has visited and read the posts. I’ll have a new full length post tomorrow.

Apropos of: Lack of Time
